A bee adores the bloom, and a fly adores the poop, but what does a human being adore?

As human beings, we possess the remarkable ability to choose and act consciously, allowing us to adore the beauty of life. Unlike a bee drawn to a bloom or a fly to poop, we have the unique power of choice and will. This means we are responsible for shaping our inner world through continuous, conscious effort. By harnessing our free will, we can make and execute choices that lead to a fulfilling life. To truly embrace this power, start with a mental detox, clearing the way for positive and intentional living.

The power of conscious choice involves deliberate thought selection, letting go of negativity, transforming your mindset, using positive affirmations, making a daily commitment, understanding the impact of consciousness on reality, accessing inner power, and creating mental equivalents of desired outcomes. These practices collectively aim to foster a more positive and constructive mindset, leading to improved mental well-being and a more purposeful life.

Principles of conscious choice and Mental Detox:

  1. Conscious Thought Selection: deliberately choosing one’s thoughts over a period of seven days. It involves being vigilant about the nature of thoughts arising and consciously redirecting negative or counterproductive ones into positive and empowering ones. The emphasis is on mindfulness and awareness of one’s mental patterns.
  2. Letting Go of Negative Thoughts: During this period, individuals commit to releasing negative thoughts and not holding onto them. This helps break the cycle of dwelling on pessimism and self-doubt, enabling a shift towards a more optimistic outlook..
  3. Mindset Transformation: The 7-Day Mental Diet encourages a fundamental transformation of one’s mindset. By consistently practicing positive thinking, individuals aim to rewire their thought patterns and develop a habit of focusing on the bright side of situations.
  4. Daily Commitment: The diet requires a daily commitment for seven consecutive days. It’s essential to remain dedicated to the practice, even when facing challenges. Consistency is key to experiencing the benefits of this mental detox.
  5. Life is Consciousness: Life is a state of consciousness and our thoughts, feelings, and beliefs directly affect our physical world. Changing one’s state of consciousness is essential for changing one’s life.

From a neuroscience point of view there is a relationship between choice-making and frontal lobe development. For example:

  1. Creation Mode and Frontal Lobe Activation: When individuals are in “creation mode,” their frontal lobes become highly engaged. This state allows thoughts to become reality as the brain’s creative center is activated.
  2. Mental Rehearsal and Brain Changes: Through mental rehearsal, people can use the advanced faculties of their frontal lobes to make significant changes in their lives. This process involves visualizing and rehearsing new behaviors and outcomes, which can lead to actual brain changes and improved cognitive functions.
  3. Neuroplasticity and New Connections: New synaptic connections are being formed when we learn new things or have new experiences. This neuroplasticity allows for the brain to rewire itself, leading to changes in behavior and thought patterns.
  4. Choice Points and Decision-Making: Making different choices is crucial for personal growth and change. By choosing to leave the past behind and entering the present moment, individuals can activate their frontal lobes to make new decisions that lead to different outcomes and experiences.
  5. Focus and Attention: By paying attention to new ideas and concepts, individuals can shape their brains and create new neural pathways. This focused attention is essential for rewiring the brain and fostering new habits and behaviors.
  6. Stress and Brain Function: Chronic stress negatively impacts the brain’s ability to function coherently, which in turn affects decision-making and creativity. Reducing stress and maintaining a calm, focused state of mind are essential for optimal frontal lobe function and effective choice-making.

In summary, active choice-making and mental engagement significantly enhance frontal lobe development, leading to improved decision-making, creativity, and overall it fosters a more positive and constructive mindset, leading to improved mental well-being and a more purposeful life.

POEM: CHOOSE TO ADORE THE BEAUTY OF LIFE

In the garden of existence, where bees seek blooms and flies some poop,
Lies a realm of choice, where human hearts take flight.
With the power of will, we shape our inner world,
A tapestry of thought, where beauty is unfurled.

We are the architects of our own destiny,
Crafting dreams with the threads of consciousness.
Let us cleanse our minds, like rivers purged of stone,
And let positive affirmations be our mighty throne.

In the quiet of the Soul, where thoughts take form,
We choose the path that leads to life’s warm storm.
With each deliberate thought, we sculpt our fate,
Transforming mindscapes, making love to our state.

So let us embrace the power within,
And let our choices be a beacon, not a sin.
For in the garden of the mind, where all begins,
We find the strength to live with purpose and wins.
